How much government subsidy is available?
The scheme offers direct financial support: ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW of installed capacity, plus ₹18,000 for the 3rd kW. Systems of 3 kW and larger receive the maximum capped subsidy of ₹78,000.
Can commercial buildings or industries apply for the subsidy?
No, direct DBT financial subsidies under PM Surya Ghar are reserved exclusively for residential households. However, commercial and industrial clients can benefit from a 40% accelerated depreciation tax benefit and lower operational energy costs.
